About Us:  We are the body of Christ, made up of people from all walks of life, age groups, ethnicities, and backgrounds.  We are "seeking to save the lost and equip the saved", to do the work of the ministry and fulfill God's purpose for their lives.  We love to worship God for who He is and praise Him for what He has done and can do.  We welcome His presence in our services, as we teach and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our History:  The First Baptist Church has been a beacon of light in the city of Elwood since 1902.  A total of 12 pastors have served from that time to the present.  We were blessed to survive the great flood of 1993 and renovate our present structure.
